Welcome to Seattle Dog Walker and Pet Sitter (“we,” “our,” or “us”). We are proud to serve the Seattle community with personalized, loving, and responsible pet care. By booking services, visiting our website, or using our mobile app, you agree to the following terms and conditions.
1. Services Offered
We provide:
- Dog Walking (various durations and tailored to your pupâs vibeâsniffers, sprinters, snuggle bugs alike)
- Pet Sitting (including overnight stays in your home)
- Cat Sitting (pay-per-visit, typically 1â2 per day)
- Exotic Pet Visits (birds, bunnies, reptilesâyour crew is welcome!)
All services are designed to give your pets individual attention and to honour their unique needs and personalities.
2. Booking & Payment
All bookings must be confirmed in advance through our app or via email. Payment is required prior to service unless otherwise agreed. Prices are listed on our website and may be subject to change with notice.
Cancellations:
- Cancellations made with less than 24 hoursâ notice may incur a fee (up to 50% of the scheduled service).
- No-shows are charged in full.
3. Health, Behaviour, and Emergency Info
Before your first service, weâll ask for:
- Health and medical info (allergies, medications, recent surgeries, etc.)
- Behavioural quirks (fear of thunder, leash aggression, door bolting, etc.)
- Vet contact info and emergency procedures
This helps us keep your pet safe and happy. Itâs essential that this information is kept up-to-date.
4. Emergency Situations
All team members are trained in Pet CPR and First Aid. In the case of an emergency, we will:
- Provide care to the best of our ability
- Attempt to reach you and your emergency contact
- Transport your pet to the nearest veterinary clinic if needed
Clients are responsible for any medical expenses incurred on behalf of their pet. We act with compassion and urgency, but cannot guarantee outcomes in medical emergencies.
5. Liability & Risk Acknowledgement
We promise to treat your pet as if they were our ownâbut animals are unpredictable, and even with the best care, unexpected things can happen.
By booking our services, you agree:
- We are not liable for injuries, illness, or death that may occur during service, except in cases of proven negligence.
- You accept full responsibility for any damage or injury caused by your pet to people, other animals, or property.
- We are not liable for lost pets if caused by faulty equipment (e.g. broken harness) or unreported behavioural issues.
- In rare, unavoidable events (e.g. a dog darting into traffic), you agree to hold us harmless.
6. Home Access
For in-home visits or overnight care, you agree to provide safe and legal access to your home. This includes:
- Clear entry instructions and keys/codes
- A hazard-free environment (loose floorboards, broken fences, etc.)
We are not liable for damages or loss due to malfunctioning locks, unsecured homes, or miscommunication of access information.
7. Photo & Media Release
We love sharing updates! Unless you opt out in writing, we may:
- Send you daily photos and updates during care
- Use non-identifying images of your pet for marketing or social media
No photos of your home or personal property will be shared.
8. Weather Policy
For extreme weather (heat, snow, wildfire smoke, etc.), we may adjust walk length or timing for the safety of your pet and our team. Weâll always communicate changes clearly.
9. Right to Refuse or Cancel Service
We reserve the right to:
- Decline service at our discretion (for safety, ethical, or scheduling reasons)
- Cancel or reschedule in the event of illness, emergencies, or unsafe conditions
We will always aim to provide notice and solutions as early as possible.
10. Modifications
We may update these terms occasionally. The most current version will always be available on our website. Continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of these changes.
